Oleta 4th Sunday - 4/25/10

Missions:
Remove several major clusters of Burma Reed from the Central zone of Oleta's South Point.
Remove Jessamine and other invasives from the same area.

Other projects are possible, depending on who signs up. Families are welcome, and there are important projects for kids (who really dig it).

Schedule:
8am Team Leader Orientation - the public is Welcome (@ Ranger Station)
9am Volunteer Orientation (@ Parking Lot 9, East Side)
then go to work
Noon BBQ or Picnic - self-serve
1pm Kayaking
4pm All done

Workout Intensity: anything between light and extreme.

You MUST be properly equipped for work. Flip-flops won't do it.

Bring:
Pocket-sized Water Bottle (you'll carry it for hydration in the bush)
Hat & Sunglasses & sunblock
Shoes or boots
Long-sleeved shirt and pants (we're working in brush, which is often tall and scratchy, sometimes with thorns)
Personal gloves (or use ours)
Food & charcoal for BBQ (we can bring an iced-down cooler).
Beach-wear & towel for kayaking and swimming later....
